Pros

I had an awesome manager from the beginning that made Servitech a good place to work. Great people to work with. Family like atmosphere.

Cons

Higher up turnover caused a lot of negatives to come about and quickly dwindle down across the board :(

Pros

Health Insurance is decent. Profit sharing only if the labs combined make a profit. Nationwide company has an ag crop consulting division and possibility of transfers.

Cons

Daily work hours, not necessarily 8-5. Results are wanted by 3:00 pm so coming in around 6:30 tends to be the norm during busy season. Hard to plan time off for vacations or doctor appointments due to lack of backup personnel. High volume laboratory can be overwhelming and physically exhausting. The pay doesn't reflect the hard work demanded by management. Also, employees have terrible time off benefits, especially sick time. Only 3 days a year.

Pros

Good fellow employees to work with, Working outdoors is good benefit, good clients to work for, Great place to work at to get experience for furthering your career with other companies in the future.

Cons

Pretty much any incentive as far as a bonus goes, is gone. Used to be great bonuses for going above any beyond the call of duty on grid sampling, custom sampling, etc. With out these bonuses, there is just no incentive to soil sample on weekends anymore. So then the company wonders why they can't get the work done. They could spend money on bonuses and would not have to worry about hiring on as many new employees. Raises are hard to come by without really twisting someones arm. Company makes half hearted attempts to listen to employees opinions and implement ideas. Labs and Crop Service have to make enough profit to cover huge losses from our tech division.
