Thank you for the great review. We do experience a great work life balance and believe it is important to recognize that everyone needs time outside of work. By having time to invest in yourself we believe it makes us all better when at Sharonview. Thank you for everything you do for our members.

Pros

Base Pay, and the members.

Cons

Where to start? Nothing anyone else here hasn’t already said. Management is disconnected on all levels. Process’ change almost daily without warning. Members are confused and becoming rapidly dissatisfied. I literally got emails about 5 different VPs, managers and other employees being let go this past week. I personally know of multiple people that were maliciously forced to quit or fired because they challenged the thinking of the Upstate SC regional management. It’s a hot headed, unqualified mess that will do everything possible to cover their mistakes and not take ownership. Even if that means comromising innocent hard workers. You’re not looked at as a human. Other managers have verbally told me that they let their hardest workers go and keep the lax ones. Managers also complain outwardly about the Upstate management to other employees, but put a smile on when it walks in and tell everyone to “be on your best behavior”. I believe this is because when someone challenged the upper managements views or weren’t satisfied with just being and order taker, management didn’t want to hear it and made it so that they were shown the door. The organization has lost all ethics and care it supposedly once had, and I’m more than relieved to not be employed there anymore! I’ve moved on to much greener pastures and an employer that has faith and trust in me. I was one of very few top producers in this region that was passionate about my job, and it intimidated them... so they bullied me. STAY AWAY! VPs are clueless of this culture because people are afraid to give the feedback that they beg for because others have been shown the door for doing so.

Pros

Like others have already stated, the pay is decent. If pay is the only important part of your job search, you are on the right path.

Cons

So many to chose from. The recent positive reviews on here show me that the indoctrinated “leaders” are trying to salvage a respectable score. Things are not good inside these walls and I would challenge reviews to the contrary to be from someone that really doesn’t have a pulse of what is going on behind the scenes. There are many insecure leaders around these parts that are focused on self promotion and self preservation over leading and developing their teams from a place of authenticity and genuine care and concern. We are burning through leadership around here at a rapid fire pace and many of those changes are not viewed favorably. The executive leadership team (ELT) continuously terminates their subordinate managers, AVPs, and VPs as a smoke and mirror to save their own butts and deflect from their own ineptitude. At what point do we take a look at the ELT? Contrary to popular belief amongst the ELT, Silos are alive and well at Sharonview. If you really want to be a silo buster, start with the COO and his subordinates. We are afraid to give honest feedback to this leadership team because we have seen people removed from the organization for doing just that. I never see the CEO anymore and he is not getting enough credit for the poor state of the union within the organization with 3 consecutive years of significant year over year declines on our employee engagement survey. Many individuals here do not think that Bill is actually the one running the organization.
