Pros
I joined SigFig's Singapore office out of university, as a member of the backend team. Some of the pros are: 1. I was fortunate to work in the Singapore office, with some of the most motivated, talented and hard-working people I've ever worked with. 2. My manager continuously sought out opportunities for me to grow in terms of technical skills, project management skills, general organizational skills. This helped me build relationships with key stakeholders in all the SigFig offices (San Francisco/Delhi/Calgary/Tucson). 3. There's great emphasis placed on ownership and teamwork, it's a high trust environment where I was enabled to do some of my best work. Engineering/QA/TPM's were very aligned on goals and appreciate it when others go above and beyond the call of duty. 4. SigFig encourages employees to socialize outside of work/travel together and I've made some of my closest friends at the company. 5. I travelled a fair amount of SigFig and got the opportunity to have lots of new, interesting experiences through working there. 6. I knew the C suite quite well and they're very approachable and motivated.
Cons
1. Sometimes work/life balance can take a hit but this isn't the case throughout the year. 2. Hiring can be improved, sometimes we've hired people who have a different work culture/aren't equipped with the necessary skills.
