Pros

Payday every other Friday. Base pay higher than other VSC companies. They give you a car allowance and pay for gas.

Cons

Management knows absolutely nothing about the warranty business. Currently the product offering is limited. The administration is a joke. Dealers are not even able to do simple things like reprint contracts after sale or have consistent billing. Silver Rock was the warranty company for Go Financial which went out of business after three years and laid off over 250 people! The same management that managed Go Financial and ran that company into the ground. Management consist of nobody that has ever worked in the warranty business! Management has interviewed managers from other companies only to obtain inside information extend job offer to make candidate more comfortable at giving more inside information only to pull job offer last minute!!

Pros

Flexible schedule, competitive base pay, regional managers are great.

Cons

Senior leadership (the people who make the decisions on what is a priority) do not have any understanding of the ancillary product business which leads them to making incredibly poor decisions on new products they want to rollout and have their reps waste time nonsense initiatives that won't truly impact sales in a positive manor. Product quality and marketing maternal is subpar compared to competitors in terms of coverages offered making it hard to obtain sales, and incredibly easy for competitors to steal Silverrock business. Known for denying claims resulting in loosing chunks of the small dealer base they have. Beware of the "$100k potential" pay plan as its not obtainable with the product they have. Compensation plans change every 3-4 months to work in the company's favor and prevent employees from making too much money. Company shows major signs of financial distress (Silverrock is taking incredible losses every month) as they had to close their sister finance company (GO Financial), and will not spend money on simple small things such as marketing materials that their sales team needs to be competitive, and help their dealers sell product. The positive reviews you see on here are from the senior leadership team and from employees that the leadership team made very strong suggestions to leave good reviews to offset the bad ones that they are getting. CEO and the owner have been in trouble for securities fraud, are known trouble makers among the other business' that they invest in, and can't be trusted to be transparent and make ethical business decisions that hurt some employees at the benefit of their pocketbook.

Pros

The people that you worked with on the floor everyday were great. I met a lot of great people in this company. The benefits are pretty good. The company recently increased the pay for the claims department.

Cons

Lack of transparency, Leadership is fake and not open to constructive feedback whatsoever. Management blatantly plays favorites, it seems if you are in with them and play the corporate office game and agree with everything they say then they will have your back regardless of bad of employee you are. They will hold on to “yes man” employees and either get rid of or push out employees that have a difference of opinion or ideas then them. They expect the Customer Service Reps and Claims Adjusters to do so much extra work and extra steps it really makes both jobs inefficient and takes away from the customer experience. The turnover over seems to be increasing . In fact they have to start cross training employees so they can work multiple positions with no extra pay. Lack of communication among management was also apparent. It was hard for all of them to be on the same page. There were too many leaders and not enough mid level and entry level employees. Management made working at this company miserable. Also some of these reviews on here were written by management to help boost the overall rating.
