Pros

The majority of the fellow reps on the floor are friendly and good people. The free food, when actually in stock, was pretty good and it was nice to have snacks and coffee every day. The dress is casual and it's a small, fairly quiet location. It feels safe and secure, and the location is right off of the freeway. Training on learning about website security is fairly thorough.

Cons

It's a shame what has become of this company. SiteLock was once a place truly for opportunity and growth and employees were well paid and happy. The management was tough but they really were there to help you succeed. That all changed - drastically. Almost every single person who built the company into what it is today is gone, including most of the higher-ups. Compensation kept changing dramatically. Within a matter of a few months, people were making anywhere from 50-80% less yet selling more. Now the turn-over is very high and the commission structure continues to make it harder and harder for hard-working employees to pay their bills. Senior employees with tenure were treated the same as people who just came in the door. There is no room for growth and advancement. There are no raises. Sometimes management would say things to employees that were beyond unprofessional and on the verge of harassment that would be court worthy (hostile work environment). The health insurance is shoddy at best, and while you might get PTO, if you miss more than a day in a month you will never meet your goal to get paid a dime in commission. Also on the note of commission, even if you do reach the goal, don't expect to get paid what you were promised. Money goes missing from reps constantly - anywhere from a few dozen dollars to a few thousand. Be aware, they make you sign a document that states that they can change and control your commission however they see fit. The product itself is legitimate - when it works. However, it is way over-priced. Competitors sell the same products for less than half of the cost, and then customers feel scammed when they get hacked anyway. SiteLock promotes a lot of false advertising as well and you will receive a lot of threats over the phone from angry customers. A lot of reps have to lie to the customers just to get a sale because people are so hungry to get money and meet the outrageous goals. Then the customers get angry and cancel and money is lost. The whole structure is a mess and management refuses to listen to reps about changes that need to be made. The company is a mess inside and out. It might be a multi-million dollar company, but most of those dollars will be going into the pockets of the higher-ups, not you. I don't advise working here for anyone.

Pros

I loved my job at SiteLock, or close there was some favoritosm, some office politics are ridiculous but their products are great and I made a ton of money.

Cons

I was promoted for hard work and clear dedication only to be fired two days later because of the personal feelings of one manager and there was nothing I could do to defend myself. They were willing to rip everything out from under me and risk me losing everything after everything I had done for them and for that, I will never recommend this company to anyone.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We try to be extremely clear with our expectations and the opportunities available to all employees. While you may only see an opportunity to earn less than $35k, the average earnings for our sales team is significantly higher. We are a pay for performance company and we have high expectations of our employees and we insist that they have high expectations for us as a company. Sales quotas do increase over time as we provide our sales consultants with a ramped quota for the first few months as they build a pipeline and get a better understanding of the customers and products. Our leadership team is dedicated to providing all of our consultants with feedback and coaching to help them improve. We are dedicated to developing our employees and providing them with an environment that supports their growth. We are very open to everyones feedback. Do not hesitate to share your thoughts with the senior management team or our HR department.
