Pros

Free Snacks, drinks, and breakfasts. Made some good friends while working here.

Cons

Do not expect to be here for any length of time. There is a crippling culture of mass hires and then layoffs or demotions where they just hope that the indignity will get you to quit. Management can't help you because it's a case of the blind leading the blind. They keep hiring new people thinking that someone will come in and save the company, while resisting any change that the new people might suggest. The leadership has no shame employing people whose families depend on them, knowing they will be fired or laid off within the year. They promise prosperity with a straight face and no remorse. You will be lucky if you make one sale in a year. Every person hired in the last 2 years is gone for a reason.

a series of unfortunate events

Pros

Corporate culture is what they do best. It was a joy to go to work each day and see the wonderful people who made up the company. Even when no one had any idea what was happening or we had to change direction 5 times in a week, team cohesion was strong and supportive.

Cons

Restructured in late 2017 and laid off a bunch of people. 2018 hired a bunch of people and then laid them off within a few months. The team was repeatedly reassured that all was well and things were great and an air of transparency was valued. Then 20% of the company was let go. I'm sure it was necessary but it feels irresponsible to yo-yo people around like that. There was even one employee who was let go TWICE in less than a year. Never trust anyone.

Former dream job that’s now just a paycheck.

Pros

The people are truly the best part. The company is full of people who care about each other.

Cons

While the company is full of “caring heroes,” most of management isn’t. The only time management has owned the poor decisions made is when their backs were against the wall and were practically forced to. Despite employees asking to take away frivolous things like Thirsty Thursdays and catered breakfasts, management decided to cut medical benefits, 401k match, and parking stipends.

Thank you for your feedback, we do take it to heart. We looked at many different options when we made the benefits changes this year. We worked really hard to come up with an option that had the least impact possible on employees. We recognize the changes were still hard and would welcome the chance to speak to you about the decision if you would like to set up a meeting with HR.
