Pros

Some of the people I worked with were pretty nice.

Cons

I could go on at length about all the issues I saw here. Needlessly unsafe scenarios, preventable injuries, wasteful practices, and so on. No other employer of mine has failed its employees and customers as much as what I saw at Skyjack.

Pros

The people here put effort in like I have never seen in other organizations. Everyone gets along for the common goal. Benefits are OK.

Cons

Very wish-washy environment depending on upper managements mood. They recently stopped believing in their employees, and are introducing hardship hoping to "trim the fat." I've been lied to on several occasions regarding the future of this organization. Benefits are given, then taken away when there are challenges in the market. This used to feel like a company where you were cared for, and I was proud to put the extra work in regardless of my compensation, but now they've shown the same corporate greed as other boiler-room environments. Maybe I'm just the fat they're trying to trim, but they'll be limited when searching for zombie replacements that are okay being spat on for the lowest end of a wage bracket.

Pros

They are very nice people to work with, but higher-level management is performing poorly. My direct manager is a very nice person, and he supported me a lot.

Cons

Company policy was written 1000 years ago when employees were treated as slaves! you have to swap your cart and put your fingerprint for the time in/out. Efficiency is only measured by the hours of work and if you have to go to the office even if you had no meeting or are required to. Their IT blocks our AWS, GitHub, and all other websites that are used for community searches for software engineering. They are not giving admin access to the computer, and I had a lot of problems installing docker on my laptop. Their policy and security engineer has a college degree from the 90s and never left the company. His knowledge is outdated, and he treats the computers as people treated in the 90s! I don't want to talk about office perks because there are none! you have to buy coffee inside the company, how stupid is this? For the Christmas party, they asked for $50 deposits! They don't respect their employee, and their employee never left the company, and they think that is the standard treatment from employers! I have self-respect and I couldn't work there despite the fact that I was enjoying working in our team, I lead a project and happily delivered projects!

Pros

Great people to work with, especially some of the older employees.

Cons

Nepotism runs rife in the company. The VPs family are at all levels of the company and let supervisors and the rest of the team know they are relatives. No job security. Hire and fire culture is back partly due to the fact that all the lines are moving to Mexico, so labor is available now.
