Pros

Startup culture with decent pay.

Cons

Horrible Management with no work/life balance. There's a lack of transparency. Some positive reviews on this site were enforced by management.

Thanks for taking the time to give your assessment on where we could be doing better. We encourage all team members to write an honest review of their experience at Slyce. It is completely optional, anonymous and helps us grow and improve. We are a very young company with lots to learn! Regarding transparency, we provide monthly company-wide updates, monthly live Q&A opportunities and Town Halls. We encourage all team members to be in touch with their managers or HR if there are any questions they have outside of these opportunities. Thanks again for your thoughts and we wish you well. Pros

This was the greatest company on the planet. No joke. It is now a shell of its former self. I hate how they are treating us.

Cons

It is very obvious that upper/new management has logged in here and posted positive reviews of the company. In an organization where everyone works out in the open the only fools who think everything is fine are the ones hiding in their newly acquired offices. The executives have no intention of listening to concerns. They took an amazing workforce and beat it until they gave in, some leaving all together. I still have no idea where one of the managers went...they stopped telling us things and they are making us sign new contracts that we aren't allowed to talk about. I am afraid for my job but what's more, I am embarrassed that I am letting these incompetent people treat me like this. I need this job. I hope the executives realize that when they cry wolf no one will come.

Thanks for taking the time to give your assessment on where we could be doing better in our New Waterford office. I’m sorry that you feel this way. We are more than open to discussing all of the concerns you have brought up. A great way to do that is to be in touch with myself or Michelle, our HR Manager directly. We are a solutions-based company and naturally, when there is a problem, we want an opportunity to fix it. Changes in leadership is a very common occurrence in any company of any size or stage of growth. We know it’s not easy for anyone and it requires a period of adjustment but we are excited about the next stage in Slyce’s growth. Thanks again for your thoughts. Erika Racicot - Co-founder & COO

Pros

This was a great company to work for. Leadership was great and inspiring. I felt like my company cared about me and my co-workers and made decisions with everyone in mind. Morale was over the top and I loved coming to work. We all did. Everyone was equal, no one had offices, and we weren't afraid to say what we thought. Our opinions mattered.

Cons

Our company is now run by the executive's egos. Manipulation has replaced inspiration. Restructuring has taken our job security, morale, culture and job satisfaction away. People are manipulating and lying to each other, and is encouraged by management. Everyone is backstabbing trying to get to the top. I'm not sure if new management is very manipulative or incompetent. They are blatantly lying to their employees and are lying to the executives about how things are going. Everyone is scared to tell the truth so they smile and lie about what they think. We are forced to fill out happiness surveys that our leaders tell us are anonymous. They are not anonymous so very few people will actually tell the truth because they fear losing their jobs.

Thanks for taking the time to review your experience at the New Waterford Slyce office. Your honesty is what helps us grow and improve. We understand that changes in management can be tough for everyone but change, in a growing start-up is inevitable. I reviewed every single one of the recent survey responses and brought the common themes to our recent Town Hall. What can sometimes happen with management is, they do their best to answer everyone’s questions and sometimes they get it wrong. It’s a natural, human mistake and happens in all departments. Thanks again for your feedback and we do hope that you reach out to myself or Michelle our HR Manager directly with your ideas for improvement! Erika Racicot - Co-founder & COO
