      Pros

      I find SAM to be a relaxed and enjoyable place of work, full of lovely people. SAM keeps its staff well informed of all the latest news and goings on, which helps to drive positivity! I previously worked for Quantel as a temp and enjoyed it, but think there have been vast improvements since the launch of SAM (despite the awkward Quantel Snell phase). From my standpoint the company is on the rise.

      Cons

      SAM has a great product range but, as a newcomer to this industry, I don't feel like I've been able to understand enough about the technology to feel truly passionate about it. In terms of benefits, I think a few more fun ones wouldn't go amiss e.g. local discounts!

      Pros

      New CEO who has transformed the business with very clear objectives and communication. Above this there has been serious investment across all areas of the business to strengthen the resources and skills to develop, market, sell and service some great products. Ambition and hard work is recognised and rewarded. Employees are empowered and supported by the management teams with a big focus on developing a great culture and engagement with it's employees. Competitive Salaries and Benefits within a Global Business.

      Cons

      As the business is transforming there is the inevitable change throughout the organisation to improve the current structure and market position, this can lead to people feeling unsettled. It can also lead to great opportunities.

      Pros

      Reasons why working at SAM is good? The number one reason for me is not the leading technology in the business, not even the infinitely superior knowledge of my fellow engineers (I could wax lyrical about this - when we find an issue with our software/firmware its usually fixed in hours not days!). For me the best thing about this company is the extremely good work ethic - nothing is too much trouble for us to deliver our products to the customer. A recent client commented on how we are the only manufacturer who we'll dedicate our entire on site time to them, putting in all hours to get the job done - and trust me it's not done begrudgingly, we want to deliver the best solution possible every time.

      Cons

      The merger between Quantel and Snell Group has not been easy. To the outside world we are one company, but internally we are still split into at least two companies. There has been many positive moves to rectify this, but it is moving far too slowly
