Pros

WFH if you are not based in Folsom Pay is decent (vs competition) Mostly friendly coworkers Health benefits are stellar

Cons

The company is presented as a cool startup, but it is still a part of intel that intel sold to Hynix (for a reason). Hynix will eventually replace all C and C-1 level so beware of Korean business culture (not necessarily a bad thing; but most of the rest/vest minded people will need to do actual work under their regime) It is still run and manned by "intel rejects". Most of these people (especially the aging c-level) are super close to their multi-million dollar retirements and don't display an ounce of passion or drive. Their decisions in 2021/22 probably cost the company multimillion$s and damaged hardly won customer relationships during the supply crunch (= they pi$$ed all customers). This will have severe repercussions in the future...maybe already started They are in a commodity business with cutthroat competition. I can't say they are set up for success...will need a lot of effort, time, and money (which probbaly Koreans wouldnt have stomach for). I didn't want to be a part of that risky painful journey

Pros

Non management workers really care about what they do Fast moving environment with lots of learning opportunities Frequently collaborate across teams to resolve critical issues quickly Good health and dental 5% 401k match

Cons

Lots of new employees(mostly management) that changed the culture from Intel for the worse if you can believe that... Stable business with cyclical profit cycles treated like a startup Ernst/Young and Deloitte caused irreparable damage during the transition from Intel - management has a huge disconnect from important "unreported" issues even 2 years after divestment SK Hynix management is bad at communicating issues Bonus payout were changed to mostly RCA and RSU(which they don't have to pay you when they let you go inevitably) Recognition for significant effort that used to pay cash is now just kind words Lack of official policy or documentation causing management and employees to frequently clash
