Pros
Management is great about boundaries around your personal life. Several times, senior executives would call out other executives for logging in while on vacation/parental leave/etc for logging in to do work as a way to take the pressure off those downstream. SWZD was work from anywhere before the pandemic, so they have it figured out. Technology package provided by company (mac or pc, monitors, peripherals, etc) along with a stipend for setting up a home office - even if you already have everything. More companies need to copy SWZD's culture to successfully implement a work-from-anywhere or hybrid work environment. They have a "camera on/mic off" policy for large meeting, so I could see that many people were working from their back patio, poolside or other non-home office locations. Plenty of opportunities to get face-time with the CEO, Division VPs & Department heads through virtual "coffee breaks" where they would send Starbucks gift cards, etc to buy you lunch. Weekly 1 to 1 with direct managers along with weekly immediate team meetings meant that you got to know your co-workers and cared about them as people. We used Slack as an instant messenger during the day to ask questions and stay connected with specific streams for project stakeholders and separate streams for silly things like pet pictures and recipes. Their efforts combated the #1 complaint from people who are in love with the office. Other than the monthly town halls, I never had a meeting last longer than 30m (town halls were 45m) and SWZD was really great about not forcing people into useless meeting that made you push your work off into your personal after hours time.
Cons
The bulk of business is done during 9-5 Central US so the bulk of meetings might interfere with lunch, etc. SWZD has divisions in India & England, so the work never stops and it's easy to overwork yourself, thinking it's expected. This is probably why the company stresses the importance of disconnecting and not checking emails after hours.

Pros
Options but now the stock is cratering.
Cons
Leadership here is completely inept. Read the other negative reviews. They don’t understand the market nor how to lead, so of course the company is down 50% year over year and unable to deliver on product. You will get stabbed in the back for pointing out the obvious. Also the pay is horrible.

Pros
The coffee machine in the UK office was off the charts good. + Every company you work for after will be better.
Cons
The company mismanagement, corporate strategy and work culture that is allowed to permeate in this organisation is shocking. avoid at all costs. -Unsuccessful US business units that treat their staff with distain rule the roost. -Their figurehead CEO will brag "anyone can buy a business for a dollar and make 75 cents" whilst overseeing tanking revenue streams and profits. -Their parent company (J2 Global) will write blank cheques for unlimited M&A to ensure they pay the bear minimum in corporate income tax. This core strategy allows the most toxic "its you or me" culture. -Those responsible for M&A, will ignore due diligence, will take backhanders (feel free to google this) from the worst run companies that join the Ziff portfolio padding out revenue streams for the following few months before the collapse under the strain of the most rudderless-ly arrogant cringe worthy leadership The 40% margin $16 million business I left due to lack of support; continual bureaucratic roadblocks; awful mismanagement at the highest level will effectively cease to trade in it's core service in 2023. Ziff will blundered a combined 16 million dollar revenue stream in 2 years. But don't worry, they will simply buy another business in the market to compensate, downsize - rinse and repeat. The business culture is not to build revenue streams; create a great working culture or increase profit/ebitda organically it is to "grow through acquisition" in order to over-inflate share value. This strategy then dictates the work culture. Toxic. Avoid

Pros
- Work from Anywhere - Willing to work with your schedule (if it works for them) - Your co-workers are truly collaborative and are always willing to help
Cons
Management appears to care about their image more than the actual work produced. Campaigns are constantly pushed back and management complains when they don't yield the results they want. There's also a culture of spending money on things that don't need to be spent on. I implore you to put that money into your loyal employees instead of incentives for clients. Cared for employees yield great results.

Pros
Work from anywhere Good benefits Large organization backing
Cons
Can't get anything done without playing the politics game- everyone wants to be right rather than doing what's best for the company or client Low pay compared to the market and competitors Constantly trying to "fix" something that they've allowed to get broken Culture is not the best No growth opportunities
