Not a place for a Developer

Pros

- You will find some really cool folks here - Good place for Sports lovers, but if you are not a developer

Cons

General Cons - - No salary slips given. If you need them, you will have to contact the Finance team - 3 months notice period - They will keep your original documents, certificates etc. until you complete your probation period - Below average appraisals. Good appraisals are given out to only those who are dear to the boss. Others, although they have put in significant effort, will not be appraised at par. Now some cons in their development/engineering practices - - If you are a developer and manage to stay there for more than a year, you will feel you haven't learned anything new after your first year there - No industry best-practices are followed. They DO NOT have a version control system like Git. SVN is used but only for a couple of projects. Others don't have any version control system. - Coding methodologies like project architecture, MVC, design patterns, OOP, test-driven development etc are non-existent. They just focus on translating the business logic of the project into the code as fast as possible and in any which way, turning a blind-eye to best-practices in the process. - You won't have the flexibility/freedom to take decisions. Some technical managers will not trust you and won't let you work in a flexible way. - Too much work pressure and kind of work that will not add value to your career as a developer after a certain amount of time. - Very tight deadlines and poor project planning.

Pros

1. They have luckily the best guy in the CEO 2. People are good, young and energetic (minus COO) 3. You get a lot to learn (bcoz u have to do everything)

Cons

1. Due to extreme politics in finance team, rest of employees suffer. They do not an employee self care like intranet. Even for salary slips you might have to wait for 4-6 months. 2. There is no way you can decide you taxation breakup, finance team decides and deducts. 3. Get ready to spend countless nights without practical compensation in office. 4. People spending weeks in office are considered hardworking, rest are average. 5. COO has some anger issues, get ready for a stream of abuses and allegations even if u have done everything right 6. Parking issues - bikes are made to park in a dump yard and cars are charged 2000 bucks monthly, fyi, that isn't covered in your CTC. 7. If you have loan repayment scheduled on 1st of every month, change that, salary processing is very manual. If finance person is on leave, u wont get salary Check all these points before you join Sportz Interactive
