Pros
Solid engineering team, interesting tech.
Cons
Working with Sameer Bhalotra (CEO) is a nightmare. He's a classic smooth-talking sociopath. He'll butter you up and promise the world, right up until the point he screws you over. Multiple times he's promised senior titles and positions to recruits if they'll do the grunt work while the startup is small. He later hires someone else for the promised position. It's a classic bait-and-switch. He's disgustingly sycophantic to recruits, investors and customers, only to yell at and berate his own staff. He's routinely told managers that he will work the staff to the bone and replace them when necessary. That seems to be proven true; several core employees started to show signs of burn out and were fired. No engineering management worked directly with Sameer and stayed at StackRox. DJ, Shashank, Rajesh - all gone. Each walking away from major equity stakes.
