Pros

Get to work online, no experience

Cons

Good way to earn pocket change, but not really a job. It's not actually a tutoring platform; it's just a platform that lets people pay others to do their homework for them. You are usually massively underpaid for your work, as it's impossible to get work if you ask for a fair wage for the work you'll be doing. StudyPool then takes 15-20 percent of what you make. You have to make at least 50 dollars in order to get your money, which you have to manually withdraw in order to get paid. If you're fired, you'll lose any money you might have withdrawn. You also have to use platforms like paypal to withdraw your money, resulting in you paying fees to StudyPool and to the platform just to get it to your actual bank account. If your ratings from students drop below 85 percent, you're automatically, permanently banned. There's no training or support. The site owners only care about making money off of students who want you to do their homework for them. If you're not making the students happy, you're disposable; the owners don't make any effort to help you. The student can also take the work you invested hours or days of your time in, make use of it and still request and possibly receive a refund for various reasons, such as it being 30 minutes overdue. If you want to even make minimum wage at your job, skip StudyPool and look for a freelance writing company that is upfront about what you're doing or use your credentials to get a real tutoring job. It's impossible to get enough assignments to even make minimum wage and avoid issues like them being overdue.

Pros

Flexible in terms of time and location.

Cons

There's no communication with the admin or management. Disputes in a pay are not prioritized and would take time to be resolved. Preferential treatment to tutors whose photos looks good in their profile.

Pros

The pay is decent, but it's not worth it.

Cons

The managers here are too biased against the tutors. In most cases, it doesn't matter that the students are wrong and that the tutors are right, the dispute almost always still go in the favor of students.
