You're expected to work all year long and made to feel guilty for wanting/needing to take time off. Also, PTO here is minimal and accrues very slowly. Just because you're working in mental health, doesn't mean that employees don't need PTO.
Should questions/concerns be brought to management, one may be met with toxic positivity or a passive-aggressive/inappropriate response.
Regarding the work, one is expected to try and "convert" people who inquire about general psychiatry to become TMS patients. While this isn't every person who inquires, it promotes anxiety while working these inquiries, especially given these people are looking for help. It's already difficult enough trying to find mental health professionals - the last thing people need is someone pushing TMS in a sales-like way.
While there are pros to working here, it's important to not ignore/deny the cons/red flags of Success and to look after yourself if you choose to work here.
