Good Benefits - not so good management

Pros

A small family-like company, but not a lot of team work goes on.

Cons

Definitely a boys club. Very few female workers and no females in management! Absolutely awful that all supervisors and managers are all males - from the CEO, General Manager, Area Supervisors, and Senior Management. Need more of a team environment instead of isolated areas.

Pros

One of the things I value most about my company is the strong sense of teamwork and collaboration among colleagues. Everyone is willing to support one another, which creates a positive and motivating work environment. I also appreciate the opportunities for professional growth through training, mentorship, and challenging projects. The company’s commitment to innovation and continuous improvement encourages me to stay engaged and proactive. Additionally, leadership shows genuine concern for employee well-being, which builds trust and loyalty. These qualities make me feel valued and inspired to contribute my best every day.

Cons

Communication – Ensure transparency and clear updates across all levels. Recognition – Regularly acknowledge employee achievements and contributions. Work-Life Balance – Offer flexible schedules or remote work options where possible. Career Development – Provide training, mentorship, and clear growth paths. Employee Feedback – Actively seek and respond to suggestions from staff. Diversity & Inclusion – Promote an inclusive culture with equal opportunities. Technology & Tools – Keep systems updated to boost productivity and reduce frustration. Management Practices – Train leaders to support, not micromanage, teams. Compensation & Benefits – Review regularly to stay competitive and fair. Mental Health Support – Offer resources and promote a healthy workplace environment.

Pros

Friendly coworkers. Direct supervisor and GM are competent and I like to work with both of them. Benefits of Medical, Dental, Vision and also 401k options are good.

Cons

Making sure employees know how to read English so they can read procedures and travelers. Giving both salary and hourly people a living wage so they do not feel the need to supplement their income; also, so if they are qualified, they will want to continue to work for the company and therefore less turnover. More than seven holiday days off. If Canada gets 10, US should also get 10.
