You will never be trained. Sink or swim.
If you want a promotion, you need to be horrible at your job, so they promote you out of your current position. If you prove your worth in a spot, be prepared to stay there forever. Don't even think about a step up in your current job description, once you sign, that's where you stay.
Upper level management have zero idea about how the job process goes, and they have tunnel vision. The second they see a dollar sign on a quote, that is the only thing they care about ever again. If you get in the way of that dollar sign, be prepared to have someone breathing down your neck.
You are a number the second you sign the papers. Don't expect to ever know the GM's name, just be prepared for a tongue lashing if you don't meet the GM's expectations.
Any good ideas you may have will largely be ignored. The quality system in place is rigid, and takes incredible amounts of work to change, so improvements fall on deaf ears. The system covers everything from standard works for almost every process from quoting all the way down to shipping and everything in between. You can barely soak up a spilled cup of water without having to file a safety form.
Your success will never be acknowledged.
You exist to produce a product, and will be reminded of that fact daily.
Get back to work.
