- The most micromanaged environment I've ever been in. If you leave your desk to go to the bathroom, management will ask you "where are you going?"
-Toxic culture (catty "mean girls" vibe, firing culture, owners are money hungry and are vocal about only caring about SALES SALES SALES)
-Founder quit because his vision of bringing families together with fun outdoor products was becoming so off brand by the parent company he sold it to, Outliving. Outliving only cares about selling the most stuff and as much as possible, which was the opposite of the original vision. They tripled their line with so much unsellable junk and will ship all the unwanted/unsold Australian product to the US and force the US team to sell it off.
-Horrible "benefits".
-Salespeople make minimum wage salary and no commission/bonuses, but will be hounded to meet their goals and fired if they don't.
-When it comes time for your "yearly salary review" they always say "it's not in the budget" no matter how hard you pushed.
-They do not care about their employees. They will hire whoever will accept the lowest salary because their main concerns are giving the least to get the most. They constantly say "everyone is replaceable".
- The entire business structure is run on cutting corners and doing things as cheaply as possible, always causing fires that you will have to constantly be putting out.
- They don't want to hear any of your ideas for new products and definitely do not want your opinions.
-ZERO room for growth. The company is not growing... so you will be in your same position forever... which might not be too long since it's a sinking ship.
- Management will put you down to make themselves look better to the Australian team
-And no, you will not get to go to Australia.
I could continue the list forever, but I don't care enough about this company to waste my time. And neither should you.
