Pros

Just as you would expect from a virtual company, you have more freedom to work remotely Great clients to work with Great CEO very chill

Cons

You have to conform your schedule to management & those who have been there for a while. Outdated business practices with a lot of in house "Business Practice" to learn once on-board ( 6 months according to their on-boarding paper work) Nobody follows the on-boarding procedures outlined for new hires leaving you to fend for your self If you live on the east coast it will be more difficult to work Salary isn't industry standard but is based on how well you learn the "Sweet Rush Way" Lots of miscommunication in work processes & getting in touch with team members Transparency is a major issue You can expect to work longer hours during your first couple of weeks

Hmmm. Well, it’s extremely (underscore) rare that we have an employee situation that does not work out. Given your profile, I can count on one finger who this might be! Post the ending of your employment we looked to see how we could learn and grow - and we did - and we came to understand we had hired you in to a position that was just not the right fit...and that was 'our bad'. And so, we learned, and I only hope you too, ultimately, gained something from the experience. Personally, thought the world of you, and professionally, think you will have an awesome career. Wishing you well, Arturo

Pros

The company loves and values all of its employees, and makes every effort to build a strong corporate culture. The company has great clients, and offers employees wonderful opportunities to work on excellent projects. You would be hard-pressed to find a better group of people to work with.

Cons

The company is 100% virtual, and so forming strong connections with the international employee base can be challenging if you are used to being with people in person. The remote work situation involves more dedication to staying on top of project management, and staying in step with your coworkers. Some employee hubs have a stronger bond, and if you are not in one of these hubs (Bay Area or Costa Rica), you might feel left out. The one area the company could improve is project management, as this is the first part of the remote work pipeline to suffer from lack of connectedness.

Thank you for your comments. Of course, love the Pros. As for the cons, we are 100% virtual, now in 12 countries with strong hubs in the US and Costa Rica. Could not agree more about getting together more often, and we are doing more and more of that all the time. As I write this I am in Costa Rica, and there is a large contingent of US based folks coming down here to meet and connect – face to face -with their teammates in June. Feel good, arturo

Pros

There are a lot of pros to working for SweetRush if you are an independent, self-motivated individual who thrives in a virtual environment: -A lot of defined processes -Extensive onboarding and mentoring for new employees and freelancers -Solid project management team -No micromanagement -Open door policy and support from leadership and managers

Cons

With continued growth of the client-base and service offerings, I would like to see an increase in hiring seasoned freelancers who are knowledgeable about SweetRush's best practices and client specifics.

Thank you for this review. We are indeed, thankfully, continuing to expand our client base and service offerings. Scaling and growing a stellar team is always a challenge and I believe we've done a pretty darn good job to date, and the quality of your co-workers speaks to this. However, it is a challenge, especially with accelerated growth. Fortunately our Talent Solutions team is now fully developed and hence we have significantly enhanced our talent / team building capabilities. I thank you for the 'pros' and I hope you've experienced good progress in our dealing with your 'con'.
