Pros

Opportunity to work with large brands/companies. Alright insurance

Cons

The main issue is compensation, especially for designers. Creative salaries are well below market and the project opportunities are not nearly exciting to make up for it. Company structure does not lend itself to peer or internal review, creating a strict hierarchy with little room for innovation. Management tends to contract out work that could be done by existing designers, which lowers morale. The pay inequity between designers and system engineers/project managers is appalling, considering the amount of hours the design team contributes to deliverables. Work/life balance is poor, with a high demand for late nights and no overtime offered.

Pros

- People who are truly passionate about what they do. - Flexible management. They are willing to work with you if things arise as long as you communicate. You never have to feel timid about speaking to your team leader or direct report. - Founders that make you feel like you're actually a part of what makes the company succeed and not just another cog in the machine. - Forward thinking, progressive leadership. -The opportunity to work with new technology in the field of A/V.

Cons

- The pay could be better. My position could be the only one that's underpaid due to the nature of it not being like the others. - Benefits are good, but definitely could be better. - Lack of career progression opportunities. Again possibly due to my position and may not be an overall con.
