I worked at TFH Publications full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It's a pet company at the Jersey shore.

    Cons

Toxic, ridiculous workplace environment. Graphics/creative department is made up of cliquey, horrible humans who feed on putting other people down who don't do their bidding. They want Marketing department to fail and work more on that than they do the actual Graphics, which SHOWS in their work. STAY AWAY from the people in this department. They will throw anyone under the bus to save their own skin and do not want new employees to succeed. So much is cloak and dagger - if they had nothing to hide, it wouldn't be this way. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the company went under due to illegal operations. The directors get cars expensed by the company while all other employees are underpaid and mistreated. Disgraceful.

I worked at TFH Publications full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I can’t think of any pros

    Cons

The quality of their products is diminishing. The politics that go on there are unheard of. Turn over rate is high. The only people that stay are the ones that have been there for years and are miserable. Pay is below average. Stay away...

I have been working at TFH Publications full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Some of the workers here are so generous! They are very open to questions and willing to help at any extent. New facility with new technologies and gadgets. Close to the shore for lunch breaks.

    Cons

Politics, politics, politics. Please stay away from here if you are looking for a stable and reliable career path. If you are not upper level management, you don’t matter. Everything is so secretive and the middle to lower level workers are always in the dark. Benefits are unfair/poor, and the pay can be better. Micro-management at its best. The communication between departments needs improvement. The priorities here seems to be out of order.

I worked at TFH Publications full-time

    Pros

Excellent benefits package. Strong base of retail customers. Expansive product line.

    Cons

A low morale working environment. Once you are intertwined with upper management you'll soon come to find cronyism, sweeping things under the rug, manipulation of numbers for corporate doesn't see what is really going on. Large amount of discrimination and bending the rules. Key employees are kept because they follow the unspoken rules. Newer hires who go against the grain and practice ethics are quickly dismissed in any way possible. There is so much smoke and mirrors here it's hard to see where to go.

    I worked at TFH Publications

    Pros

Annual Salary above Market , Initial opportunity value seems good . Most workers at office are friendly and provide a good office environment which promotes openness and communication among Employees. Company attempts to convey a work environment which promotes respect and rewarding accomplishments for it's employees.

    Cons

Company has an underlying local/hometown mentality which effects its business decisions. Finance department in constant audit status from home company due to former indiscretions of company founder. Company finance department hides personal wiithdrawels/expenditures of high level employees and misrepresents inventory value through intricate accounting practices. T/E for company managers grossly misrepresented for a few high level employees. Company accounting manager has intimidated/,manipulated staff to hide expeditures for outside sources. CEO drives Porsche car under company name but uses a different name to hide from employees.

    Pros

The people. Nice group of people at the manufacturing level with years of experience.

    Cons

Management is very unstable and prideful. A lot of politics with the emergence of the new management. Making too many changes at once that cost money and no measuring methods.
