Pros

- Some of the people are really great and know what they're talking about. - Location is convenient

Cons

- CEO doesn't know how to manage a business or people. 9 times out of 10 she won't even talk to you, unless she's forced too. Doesn't listen to feedback about serious issues happening within the company and has appointed a person that micromanages all employees, driving them to quit. -Don't provide you with the resources to do you job efficiently. - Sales team hasn't sold anything in over a year and doesn't fully understand what our company even does....hell...no one knows what this company actually does anymore. - Not flexible with time off and if you don't use you days you lose them. - Culture sucks.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your time with TWG Plus. We're a small, busy company and it's true that we have had staff changes in the last year. In some cases certain positions were no longer the right fit as the company continued to evolve. In other cases our talented staff, who were able to take courses partially, or completely paid for by TWG, wanted to grow their careers in areas in which TWG had no current opportunities. It's also accurate that we have promoted from within several times in the last year or so, and that our sales thus far this year are outpacing 2017. We hire for culture first, unapologetically. Culture is always a work in progress, and a critical part of our culture is transparency. We offer 15 paid PTO days a year, as well as 11 paid holidays. Our team members may take half or full days of PTO, and they may take PTO hours that they haven't yet accrued. PTO does not roll over into the next calendar year. Employees are encouraged to take every single PTO hour and we've worked to cross-train our team so that employees on vacation can be on vacation. We enjoy good work life balance and have simple remote work guidelines for times when employees simply need or want more quiet in order to focus or complete a project. I don't like to interrupt our team members when they are heads down, in the middle of a project, often with headphones on as our office is quite open (and also has a terrific view.) I prefer to engage them when they are not working to provide quality deliverables for our partners. While resources are always a focus in small companies, I believe that every person here has the space, training, flexibility, hardware and software required to do his or her job, not to mention the support of their manager and leadership team. That being said, if someone is looking to be told how to do their job, or what to do all day, TWG is not for that person. I hire the best and brightest people and then get out of their way. Not a place to grow your career

Pros

• Most of the team was friendly • Nice view over the Greenbelt • Coffee and sometimes snacks • The team is small enough and usually gather to celebrate birthdays and holidays

Cons

• Project management's workflow to the team was unorganized. This resulted in blaming team members instead of reflecting on the lack of process and planning created from the top. • Team members were treated poorly by upper project management. These bright and talented creatives with 10-30 years of experience were treated with little to no respect and many times talked down to in front of the team. • Each employee carried large workloads and several projects at a time with unrealistic deadlines. This is a production agency, and fast pace should be expected. These projects, however, came out of thin air and to the surprise of even the project management team somehow. • There was a disconnect, lack of trust and communication between project management and sales. That could have changed since they hired a new sales team. • Production took the blame for missing the deadlines when it was not prioritized into the workflow. • It was no longer creative. Making a creative worker create something that was due yesterday stifled creativity and also the team's passion and drive behind their work. This damaged the culture and will hurt the team’s skills. • Difficult to be setup for success. It seemed everyone was setup for failure.

Pros

honestly can't think of any

Cons

Too many to list, if I could rate them half a star I would... They lure you in with false promises and externally they seem to have it together- once you become employed you realize the mess. They claim to be experts in Higher Ed yet have no clue, misuse the actual meaning of " admissions funnel" hundreds of times, their lack to knowledge in student affairs concerned me the most. I agree with the other reviewers about Kim Kasee, she's unprofessional, clueless about higher Ed and disrespectful to her subordinates. If you are truly passionate about higher Ed, and serious about your career, stay far far away from working here!
