Pros

- Somewhat generous pay during training ( I know a couple of friends who got paid more for training at their jobs) - Great idea, but needs work - Colleagues helped make the days go by

Cons

In my opinion, most of the negative comments on this site are on point. Here are some of mine: - Recruiter made some false promises, such as promising we will be placed quick and will "love it" ("oh, everybody gets placed"; "shouldn't take more than a few weeks after training, one month tops"). please be honest! - Some colleagues were forced to work way too far or on tasks irrelevant to training - One of the managers was unprofessional at times by making rude and unnecessary comments about people, either in front of others or within earshot (constructive feedback is fine; however, it should be intended to help others, not insult them. And in certain situations, it should be in the form of a private meeting) - Two year contract (would be ok if things went well) - Trainers were hit or miss; some were great, specifically the SQL trainer, but others may have lacked - Resumes built by Talent Path were a bit too exaggerated

Pros

The trainers are fun to work with and actually help you learn new things.

Cons

Talent Path survives on the empty promise of training with further placement while singlehandedly ruining what’s left of the hope you have of making a decent wage within the next 2 years. If you’re reading this, you’ve probably been recruited by Talent Path via Linked In. You probably spoke to a girl that was really enthusiastic about her job and made you genuinely excited for the future to come. I’m writing this to warn you. Talent Path traps you in a 2 year contract that basically ensures that they make the most profit off a recent college grad with the promise of “last mile training” and “industry exposure”. And these claims aren’t technically false. You will go through 3 months of training that will have you stressed one month and completely over your life in the next. You will learn things that you could’ve just Googled but would never have because most Universities don’t mention aspects of the real world and technology industry that are necessary for your success. And last but not least, you’ll be forced to add a lot of people on Linked In and then get yelled at if you don’t. The leadership is playing whack-a-mole with US cities in an attempt to rally all the gullible college grads that are desperately in need to boast about being a business analyst as their first job. With this, Talent Path is expanding too quickly; having very few resources and staff to adequately receive an ROI. Many consultants, upon “promotion”, sit around in a poor excuse of office space for months on end. The leaders of Talent Path promise their potential employees that they will place them at companies upon promotion. And I will give them that. About 16% of their consultants are actually placed somewhere, twirling their thumbs and counting the days till they can be released from the clutches of the Talent Path contract. For those who are considering applying/accepting this role at Talent Path, I advise you to consider working at a fast food establishment instead. You will have a much better experience than what you will endure at Talent Path aka Deloitte’s ugly step-cousin.

I am so sorry to see your feedback on the program. The Talent Path program was built specifically to help our employees access job opportunities in an emerging tech field where employers are struggling to find talent specifically trained on key skills in high demand. Our program was designed to provide our consultants the specific training that would encourage those employers to hire and employ our consultants without the investment of training and development. Our consultants are paid a competitive salary, provided full benefits, and put through a comprehensive technology immersion at no cost to them, all in an effort to ensure they are fully prepared to jump start their career in the tech field. We work hard to make sure this program is beneficial for all parties, not the least of which are our consultants. Our hope and belief is that every Talent Path consultant who joins us does so with a complete understanding of the commitment required to be successful. That includes a commitment to the training and the subsequent assignments to gain invaluable experience. In fairness, it may simply be that the model just doesn’t work for some individuals. There are several inaccuracies in your review, along with some very unfair exaggeration, and it is troubling that some of the elements of the program have been represented in the manner outlined. Regardless, we approach every review with sincerity and respect. And I am genuinely sorry your experience left such a poor taste in your mouth. That has not been the experience of the others. I wish you the very best of luck in your future. Kindest regards, Julie Olson, Vice President of Talent Path

Pros

During training, our trainer who taught us SQL and Tableau, Evan, really cared about us and did his best to teach us everything he could within the limited time and resources he was given. Previous management was much better also.

Cons

Don't even bother going through the interview process and definitely don't be pressured into signing away 2 years of your life especially when they don't have any guarantees for you, definitely not worth it. Most of the positive reviews on here are written by people who are *encouraged* by upper management to write one within the first week of training before they experience the truth of Talent Path. Current management and way of thinking has contributed very negatively overall. Training is useless for the most part (besides Evan). Most likely after training you'll be sitting on the bench for at least 3-4 months waiting to go out on interview for an assignment and be blamed for it. You won't have the experience the job is even looking for but you'll be told to lie to interviewers about random skills you don't have they force you to put on your resume. And the assignment you get sent to will most likely just be some random job where you use a computer and are in the IT dept. and are expected to have 3-4 years worth of experience. Also weirdly they keep trying to control our LinkedIn and making us put random stuff on there all the time. Save yourself a lot of trouble and find a job where you are respected and valued, this place isn't it.

We appreciate your feedback and insight around your personal experience at Talent Path especially since it falls outside the norm of most of our consultants. Employers share their required technological skills, business acumen, and cultural fit needs, which we in turn into customized training; afterward, as you know, we then place trained consultants back at the client. The curriculum is developed and delivered by SMEs (of which you benefitted from as you mentioned) and includes real-world immersive learning… but also on the job training. The client placement is designed as an extension to accelerate learning and it is unfortunate that your on the job training ended in a less than desirable way. We wish you the sincerest success as you embark on your career and find the path that leverages your expertise and draws upon your passions
