Pros
Don't get the wrong idea, Talentsoft IS an amazing company. Most of the younger staff don't even realise how rare it is for someone with close to no experience to be trusted that much with actual project and resources while still having the means to get backup when they need it. Since the organisation is very flat, getting a promotion is close to impossible. Nonetheless, the staff is filled with people who got the opportunity to change job et experiment with new position (sometimes very different). Most of the people you work with are simply positive-minded and always ready to give a hand. There is a sense of solidarity you just don’t find anywhere.
Cons
Too good to be true ? Kind of. If this company is amazing for junior people willing to get all the experience they can as soon as possible, it can't be harder for confirmed staff. Other reviews stated it already but this company can be harsh at times ... First of all, the rhythm is definitely exhausting on the long run. You will never see the end of your workload. Note that if you are not willing to spend countless hours working, you can always say so but be prepared for others to take the spotlight. My second point would concern the middle management. As said in the "Pros" of this review, Talentsoft is a flat rake-like organisation ... with a very very long handle. As you probably understand it already, VPs tend to disconnect from ground reality creating a Damocles sentiment shared by most of the departments. The third point is directly related to the second one. Middle management hasn't been hired, it has been handpicked by higher management. If most of them carried their culture of operations on their way up, some just lost it (or ditched it ?). In a company that small (400+) and that concentrated (a unique product), a manager running around in circle (or standing still, for that matter) is something you can't really afford. I'll give you a hint of hope though. The company recently started to hire senior profiles to fill management position. If not perfect, the daily struggle has reduce in the concerned teams and departments.
