Thanks so much for your 5* review. It's so pleasing to read that you call out career development, promotion and work environment as Pro's as we work incredibly hard to make this the case. 48% of our vacancies in the last year have been filled internally and we're really proud of that as it means we're providing real opportunities for our colleagues to progress. I agree that we are a very fast paced business in line with our industry and this does create pressure to some extent but also creates the opportunities for people to thrive and progress. We also have many internal events to bring the element of fun and support into play such as our external speakers, internal networks, competitions etc which I hope you agree adds to the great work environment we have.

Pros

Used to be in a good location. Good with flexible working. Some incredible people but they have mostly left or more than likely been made redundant.

Cons

Lots of obviously fake reviews here, some from 'talent managers' the same people who are in charge of responding to reviews. Constant restructure and redundancies, even in the pandemic they haven't been able to help themselves - restructure in the summer resulted in significant head count reduction and another restructure announced recently. More redundancies. Followed by platitudes about 'difficult decisions' having to be made. Though it's never the decision makers being shown the door. Months down the line they realise they are under resourced so start recruiting again for the same jobs by any other name. It's insane. They have never been able to manage money. So much wasted on frivolous things, large remuneration packages, frivolous sponsorships, celebrity guest speakers erm i'd rather we kept our jobs than have colin jackson in for an hour to motivate the troops. If your face fits culture. As other reviewers have mentioned if you are in the inner circle you will get promotion after promotion. if you're not, then forget it. if you are a senior leader you can look forward to huge bonuses. if you're not, chances are you will get nothing, year on year. it's a very insecure, febrile environment so i would think very carefully before joining because Talk Talk gives you no job security what-so-ever. H.R. practices are underhanded and unethical and they will actively work against you. Morale is rock bottom now. They kick you when you are down and they won't stop kicking until the stuffing has been knocked out of you so you slink off out the door. It is such a shame it used to be a great place to work but people have left either because they have got sick of it or, more usually, because of the regular redundancies. The people who respond to these reviews are living in their own little bubble, on a different planet than the shop floor. if they could see exactly what was going on in certain business areas they would be in for a shock.

Pros

Soapworks office is good when the heating works.

Cons

If you’ve ever wondered how a company can operate with a completely shattered moral compass, look no further than TalkTalk. It’s genuinely astounding that senior leadership manages to find their way into the office each day, given how lost they seem when it comes to integrity, accountability, and basic human decency. The culture is built on backstabbing, finger-pointing, and empire-building, where success is measured not by results but by how effectively you can shift blame onto others. Toxicity thrives at every level, and instead of collaboration, you’ll find yourself navigating office politics that would make a soap opera look tame. If you’re looking for a workplace where innovation, ethics, and teamwork are valued—run. If, however, you enjoy watching leadership fumble through crisis after crisis while ensuring they take none of the responsibility, then this might be the perfect place for you.
