Pros

(based at Tate Modern) Size of operation meant you got to work with a really wonderful array of people. Fairly easy workdays, generous break times and changing shops on average every hour keeps the pace of the day moving. Set structure of workdays/hours (which can be rare in retail) made work/life balance feel more manageable. For the most part, pretty relaxed and trusting management. Was able to focus on the area of retail you preferred (e.g. VM, books, product, jewellery etc.)

Cons

With the size of the team and the rolling aspect of some of the contracts, often a select few staff members are favoured by management over others, even if those others have things to offer. (At least when I was there) somewhat toxic culture in upper and middle management would sometimes seep down to shop floor level. From what I can tell from others still there, perks/quality of work life have steadily decreased
