Tech Soft 3D Response
4y
It is always sad to see employees leave. In rare cases (such as this one) where we lose an unhappy employee, it also becomes a motivator to improve. At Tech Soft 3D, we take pride in our culture which is built on transparency, trust and respect. It shows in the people that work here and in the way they build positive relationships. It also shows in people’s willingness to provide straightforward feedback like this. It’s true that we’ve experienced the types of growing pains that so many software companies have gone through while shifting to an Agile approach. While we’re confident that these changes will help us build better products and increase the satisfaction of our team members, it’s also certainly true that there have been challenges along the way. The issues highlighted here are part of those growing pains, but we remain adamantly convinced that our decision to adopt agile principles and be more partner focused are the right direction for our company, our customers and ultimately for our team members. Along the way, we’ll continue to learn and improve from situations like this one in our continual pursuit of excellence.

Pros

Great support network from direct reports all the way to the top from the CEO and executive leadership. The company is very focused on acknowledging and rewarding you for doing your job and doing it well. The entire team roots for individual and team success. They also really want you to have a good work life balance and to have fun.

Cons

None to report at this time.

Pros

The people you work with make it more enjoyable.

Cons

Work life balance was fairly good but they really don’t truly value their staff, they say they do but they don’t. You become just a number and higher up management have a plan of where they want the company to go. Promises of training and developing and then nothing happens. The company I worked for was acquired by Techsoft3D and it went sour from then on, made lots of redundancies and the future was uncertain. You never felt safe in your job.

Pros

Best benefits in the Bay Area. Super work/life balance. Great senior leadership. If it wasn't for the CEO, I wouldn't have been around so long.

Cons

Technology is a bit behind the curve but that's where our customers tend to be. Slow to adopt to change.

Pros

Fun place to work. Great work life balance and good company values. Super flexible for home working time off etc. Growing fast with great products.

Cons

Benefits are a little light. And some of the infrastructure is a little shaky but then they are small and growing very fast so that is to expected. Still quite small so little room to progress career.

Pros

- A results oriented workplace that prioritizes culture and people - You'll struggle to find better benefits anywhere - Management actively solicits feedback from the team and acts appropriately - The company is always in a state of trying to get better

Cons

- Communication can be difficult among geographically dispersed teams - CAD/CAM/CAE is an old market in terms of tech and not always as exciting as web this, cloud that, mobile everything
