Poor leadership direction, classic poor communication and empowerment, information is power approach

i've seen a lot of the really good HR people leave this year and wasn't sure why. i now see that the sr. hr leadership team specifically the total rewards leadership team is undeniably toxic. they gossip, make up stories about people, over-formalize communication, make you feel less than if you are not at their level and worst of all they play it off like its the other persons fault vs. having any ownership. it's so toxic and now i realize why the good HR people are leaving. i have little to no trust in the sr. hr leadership team to make a changes needed. i would warn anyone who is in hr that is thinking of coming into this organization that the sr. hr leaders are not looking out for you but instad only for themselves

Communication between shop floor employees and management is very poor; you’ll learn that very quickly. We’ve all heard the saying, “I’m not the foreman because my ideas make sense.” Supervisors and leads will tell you to do unproductive things that make no sense like rip out setups, start new jobs that they told you to do when you’re in the middle of one, stay in your designated work area until the bell sounds like you’re in elementary school, and push a broom when your work area isn’t dirty. Managers are passable. Lots of stress put on engineers to meet unrealistic deadlines (as there is with any manufacturing company) set by project managers, who will never change the schedule even if the ask is impossible. Offshore contract team is a hit or miss at being actually useful, but required to work with even if to the detriment of your work if you get one of the bad ones. Do not trust certain managers to have a spine to protect you from getting pulled in many directions in your day to day work. Communication between director level and manager level is not good and there isn't a solid vision or roadmap from the directors. Stingy vacation allotment for new engineers. Benefits are just ok.
