Pros

Relaxing if not trying to meet deadlines Gives raises but only minimal amount ($0.25) Praise from manager when you do a good job Great co-workers Flexible schedule Weekly meetings and training, great learning opportunities

Cons

They treat employees as disposable workers Management has superiority complexes (like the previous reviewer stated) Only given 10-15 minutes for lunch The level of micromanagement is off the charts The boss will make you come to work even when you're ill, unless you are dying/coughing up blood Impersonal and absolute disregard for employees' work/personal life balance Level of education and professionalism of upper management is as low as dirt Workers in the back would openly discuss drug usage, booze, and party life

Pros

They have a Ping Pong Table

Cons

Working conditions are disgusting. Everything is gross and people are crammed into rooms with no windows and no personal space. CEO is a jerk who consistently yells at employees and even cursed and kicked out a vendor in front of all employees. Management micromanages everybody, doesn't trust anybody and just an all around unethical person.

It's unfortunate that we had to reduce our Team and eliminate your position when COVID hit. I was glad that you were able to get the unemployment and the COVID bonus. We do appreciate your service at Tennis Express and are sorry that you had a negative experience. Your fellow Team Members liked you. Like many corporate offices, we work in cubicles and our upstairs does not have windows. However, we do have plenty of artwork on the walls to help stimulate and keep the environment fresh. On another note, as CEO of Tennis Express, I did bring our staff into the conference room to meet a vendor/manufacturer that had been harming our efforts to grow by giving advantages to our competitor for over 10 years. No one cursed at the vendor and no one kicked the vendor out. Those actions actually made a tremendous difference in our relationship with that vendor and we are now one of their top accounts in the country. I wish you great success in your career. All the best, Brad Blume, Founder and CEO, Tennis Express.

Pros

Good job for a high school student. They will try to work with your schedule. Literally the only semi-good thing about this place.

Cons

Terrible pay No paid holidays No sick days Crappy insurance Managers who don't know how to manage Required to work weekends A lot of micro management 30 min lunch while working a 9 hour shift Owner is a spaz, doesnt respect his employees Weekly meetings where the owner criticizes employees for the company's downfalls A lot of favoritism - certain employees are allowed to get away with certain things while others arent Apply for one job and be expected to do 5 other jobs once hired No work-life balance Overall a terrible work environment for anyone over the age of 21

We believe our company is wholly dependent on a content group of Team Members who like coming to work every day. We currently offer a 45-minute lunch and encourage our employees to work a maximum of eight hours a day to maintain a healthy work/life balance. Weekly meetings are dedicated to addressing ways to enhance best practices. The intention is to inform all Team Members about problems that occur, so that everyone can work together to correct these challenges. At Tennis Express, favoritism is discouraged, and the members of the company’s leadership team work to serve as models of equal treatment for all. As in any small company, our Team Members can serve in many capacities. On a voluntary basis, Team Members are encouraged to cross train and expand their knowledge of the business as a whole.
