Pros

Not really any to list

Cons

They will hire you for one position and then give you more responsibilities without extra pay. They say they’re constantly growing but in reality the employee numbers stay about the same. There’s always new hires, not because of growth, but because people either get smart and leave or they’re fired for something stupid. They’ll tell you they’re a “family” company but have heard the president of the company say he doesn’t care if it’s an employees weekend with his kid, he still has to work and he doesn’t care. They’ll put blame on anyone except themselves and tell more lies to make them look better. They’ll treat all entry level employees like numbers, don’t take care of their vehicles or equipment, when you try and bring up ways to improve anything they’ll brush it off at first and then circle back around to it and say they came up with it, have drillers going to sites that haven’t been checked for clearing or any underground lines, have seen some techs have anywhere from 4-5 hours off between shifts while others were having to take days off because they didn’t have work for them. They’ll make you feel like it’s a good company at first and that your input is valued and then turn on you when you voice anything against what they see fit. They’ll don’t relay 100% of the information to the owner of the company or even the president of the company. Will slow fire people while telling them they’re position is safe and they’re doing a good job. If you’re salary they will make you work extra hours and other positions and have hourly people off when it’s slow because it’s cheaper for them and don’t show any appreciation for it. If you ask if there’s anything you can improve on or if you’re making mistakes they’ll tell you no and then turn around and write you up for continuing to do something wrong. Sad part is there are good people at this company who believe they are valued but from the outside looking in they’re just being used as puppets and could do much much better. And don’t believe too many of the reviews on google. They have their corporate employees and their family and friends put 5 stars on there so it looks better.

Toxic Dynamics

Pros

I truly enjoyed sending out positive employee recognition, as it played a key role in improving the company culture.

Cons

During my time at Terradyne, I encountered significant challenges that impacted my ability to fully perform in my role. While my immediate supervisor was supportive and encouraging, I faced persistent obstacles from his direct superior that contributed to a difficult work environment. The company had a high turnover rate, which I did not fully research prior to accepting the position. With limited information available about former employees, I believed I was joining a positive and stable workplace. Unfortunately, I later discovered underlying toxic dynamics that were not immediately apparent. As the sole member of my department, I repeatedly requested the necessary resources and access to execute my responsibilities effectively but was not provided with the support required to succeed. Additionally, as the only person of color in the office, I experienced exclusionary behaviors and dynamics that made the environment even more challenging. For instance, I often overheard disparaging remarks about me being made in the next room. On multiple occasions, I was in the same room with other employees, and this individual would engage with everyone around me while deliberately avoiding any communication with me. This person even orchestrated the relocation of my office for her own convenience. These actions created an isolating and hostile work environment. The company’s leadership structure further compounded these issues, as the owner was based in another state and was not present to observe or address the toxic dynamics within the office. Despite these challenges, I maintained my professionalism and worked diligently under difficult circumstances. This experience has strengthened my resilience and reinforced my commitment to fostering supportive, inclusive, and equitable workplaces where all employees can thrive.
