      Pros

      Work produced here is generally benefitting mankind. Most products are for health diagnostics or treatment devices. Other product lines benefit scientific or industrial research. A lot of projects involve cutting edge technology at the end user's side. This alone gives a lot of job satisfaction. Tesla has a world class machine shop. Amazing things are made there.

      Cons

      There is a large proportion of R&D work. Things may not always work the first time. Learning new things is not always fast.
