Pros

good health benefits overall. ice cream truck. ping pong room. beer cart Thursdays. cool off-site house with pool. Good place for a junior creative just graduating to have their hands in a lot of different areas and work on several brands and deal with a lot of last minute creative emergencies

Cons

The following are all my own opinion and opinion only. This place is toxic and filled with serious latin soap opera type drama at times. Be very careful when accepting a position here. Everyone seems so friendly and openminded here but trust me, there's big drama, gossip, and internal politics everywhere. Well known in the industry for hiring and burning through people. They will ask a lot of you, work late nights, weekends. Sometimes working in circles as upper management is not very good at providing clarity. Do not expect your career to grow here. Do not expect to earn very much. Do not expect much to happen. Expect to work a lot of hours for very little pay. Severely lacking infrastructure and flow to work. Acts like a big corporation but is really just a start up environment. Everyone doing multiple roles and structure is scattered and disorganized. The work you end up producing does not match what the company supposedly stands for. Lack of mentorship and training: Expect to hit the ground running, and forget about asking for opportunities of growth you'll only be asked to leave or looked at as an entitled millennial. Don't see that much of an investment in their employees. often hire key roles to outsiders. Very poor senior leadership and management here. Everyone is just trying to save their own skin and job at all times from upper to lower management. blame culture rampant. no one takes responsibility for mistakes and consistently passing the blame. Most disappointing career move of my life. I hope this review saves you from a similar fate.

Pros

Upper management has no idea how bad the lower people have it, so sometimes they'd try to do cool stuff like parties, free ice cream, or summer Fridays (when you get off at 2) but truth is, people had so much work, no one would end up leaving at 2. And after working 80-hour weeks, the least people wanted to do was to spend more time with those awful people. Employees want to go home to their own lives!

Cons

Everything. The office is a permanent freezing temperature and it's always loud. All managers treat people awful. Constant 12- or 15-hour days. Staying until 2am on most days, because it's short-staffed and has a huge client they can't handle. Also at a really, really low salary. No one is nice, or looking to make friends. On constant call, some weekends at office. Awful management. I had 4 different supervisors in my first 8 months, so no one could attest to my work. No parking. Meetings 9-6, so you can only start working after 6. Did I mention people are terrible? You get thrown in, and you either sink or swim. Very hierarchical, so if you're not a director, expect to be treated like garbage and do the work no one else wants to do ("because it's your job"). Constant yelling at employees and bellittletling them if they ask for explanation (At least in Account Management in the bigger accounts). Expect to have no life outside work and never have a good day. Ever. Everything's an emergency. Anyway, terrible company. Peace out.

Does XXI Century Slavery ring a bell?

Pros

You learn, I can't deny that, by being beaten up and humiliated but I guess you do learn at the end of the journey. Owners and President are apparently great people, however, they enable some Account Directors to do as they wish and to mistreat and disregard their junior people. People from other teams are usually nice to be around. HR is very responsive (when it comes to career growth).

Cons

Have you ever heard of XXI Century Slavery? Well, this is it. Account Directors who will make you want to kill yourself every day when you get home after a 14hr workday. You'll cry, you'll suffer, you'll be discriminated by say...your age. Everyone seems so friendly an openminded here but trust me, there's big drama everywhere, gossip, intolerance and lack of professionalism.
