Supportive management, but unstable job security
Pros
My direct manager was genuinely one of the highlights of my time there. Supportive, communicative, and actually invested in helping me get up to speed quickly. Clear with expectations and always approachable, which made the short time I was there a lot easier to navigate.
Cons
I was made redundant after just one month, which left me equal parts shocked and deeply disappointed. What makes it worse is the obvious disconnect between the company’s financial situation and its decision to hire in the first place. If the business isn’t hitting revenue targets and is under financial pressure, making people redundant should not come as a surprise, but hiring new staff in that climate absolutely should not happen either. New employees turn down other opportunities, uproot their routines, and put real trust into a company. To be made redundant a month in makes that feel like a complete waste.
