Pros

- Fellow colleagues at the same level are helpful and encouraging - Helping clients intern and have great experiences abroad can often be rewarding

Cons

- Work culture promotes and expects working after hours which leads to employee burn out and high turnover - Preaches that all employees are "family," yet in the few years I worked there, there were two rounds of company-wide layoffs: one due to mismanagement and poor oversight of company funds and one due to COVID. There was also a re-structuring process that involved employees interviewing for their existing positions and employees being let go. - Management often targets and hires recent graduates living abroad in countries such as Colombia and Chile who may have limited options for employment and willing to accept low salaries - Limited upward growth potential in the company - Very limited focus on employees' professional development

Pros

Diverse staff with a chance to meet people around the world, trust in staff to do their jobs.

Cons

Very low pay, likes to talk a big talk but not walk the walk, questionable financial model with many layoffs and restructures, unreasonable expectations, manipulative management, shady and illogical practices, brainwash/cult style training, culture, and philosophies, and at the end of the day all they care about is making their money.

Pros

Great place to start at as a graduate. You get to meet and work with amazing people from different parts of the world. You learn so much about the corporate world.

Cons

A great place to start off as a graduate however be warned you won't be there for long as they tend to practise the intern strategy (use interns as much as possible to avoid hiring them once the contract is up in order to save cash) PS: you'd think the company is doing well since it's been around for 10+ years 😏 but they continue to run it like it's a START UP!! hence once they are done with you they replace you with another clueless career hungry intern and the cycle continues. To make matters worse, the pay is a severe joke yet they expect employees to work super hard and even do tasks that are outside their job description. This is how they manipulate people into thinking they are a valued member of the team and that their hardwork will pay off. The company preaches about work life balance yet they do not practise it at all, talk about hypocrisy. There is NO room for growth as most of the time they will keep their employees in the same positions and expect them to juggle multiple tasks but not promote them. TIG is simply run by the older generation and tend to not listen when ideas and solutions are brought to the table as they feel they know what's best, furthermore favouritism plays a huge factor in the company (if you're not friends with those in high places you have no chance at all). This has led to the company spending so much time, money and resources on projects that never succeed (Talanta). Therefore they spring things up from thin air and expect them to workout without doing any research, basically winging it! It's no wonder the company is not doing so well. In conclusion TIG = empty promises. I would definitely not recommend even my worst enemy to work at TIG.
