Pros
People are nice, always willing to help. Thorough training is provided.
Cons
Hourly pay is low for part-timers but full time employees earn a good amount.
- Current Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
Great colleagues… and well stocked pantry, depending on where you’re based.
Cons
Leave system is ridiculous. Be prepared to plan a year (or more) in advance for your holidays just because they want to “help the planning team plan ahead”. And you might not even get the dates you want. It’s a game of luck.

Pros
- Interesting curriculum done by specialized curriculum team - Relatively small class sizes mean that you can get to know your students well
Cons
- Manpower is stretched. Be prepared to cover last min when your fellow colleagues take MC. This is very stressful as you may have to do a rushed job planning and could also get called to cover in any 1 of the centres across Singapore. The planning team doesn’t seem to regard the teachers as people, even when we tell them that we have a heavy marking load etc… it’s easy to feel like we are just means to an end (ie the class has a teacher inside) - Heavy marking load - Pay is not competitive, no progression - New hires have to work two weekends so say goodbye to any social life - Leave is hard to come by… need to apply way in advance and even then, it’s not a guarantee

Pros
Best place for quiet quitting, just phone it in and it pays well. Get your paycheck and be happy. TLL helps you fund your fancy new home.
Cons
Highly, highly incompetent managerial level. A lot of double and triple dipping of roles by singular individuals who are great at managing upwards, which sounds glorious on paper at the expense of the teams that they are incapable of leading. A lot of bottleneck at the decision making level, with hardly any good decisions made. The dip in quality and staff morale is very apparent not only internally with extremely high turnover rates, but to parents and discerning students as well. In these past couple of years, TLL's standing has taken a sharp nosedive from all the goodwill that's taken years to establish. No real reviews come to glassdoor just to write "All good, nothing to talk about". Be discerning of these reviews .

- The workload tends to double towards the end of the year or during school holidays, which can make it challenging to complete tasks on time. - Shift-based work, which affects sleep schedule.
- Former Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
It's alright for part time work and if you are not looking for career progression
Cons
It can be very hard to take leave.
- Current Employee, more than 5 years★★★★★
Pros
Teachers only have to teach and do not have to double hat in other departments or dabble in curriculum. Facilities seem much better than other centres.
Cons
Teachers can expect a heavy workload and high expectations. Almost feels like a uni race sometimes.
