Pros

You obtain cash commission each day and it is incredibly hard to get fired since their turnover rate is extremely high.

Cons

The Local Group hires under false pretenses. Advertising potential jobs as "marketing" or "event planning" when really, it is JUST business to business sales. Not to mention, there is no promised salary. You recieve daily commission based off your performance for the day. They claim if you "do your job" you will go home with upwards of $90/ day. However, you are selling D-list cosmetics, and forcing yourself to LIE to the consumer to make the sale. And the hours in which you are working are upwards 9-12 hours, including weekends. You're expected to not return to the office until youve sold X-amount of cosmetics and low-end flat irons. If you have not, you are expected to POACH unsuspecting consumers in store parking lots. You are driving to businesses across northern ohio every single day. Forcing you to put mileage and wear on your car. And you're expected to walk to and from businesses on your own, in snow, rain, or shine. Often, if you're unaware of the neighborhood, putting you into uncomfortable or dangerous situations. With no benefits to be seen.

MLM scam targeting entry-level job seekers

Pros

The other employees are very friendly, it's difficult to get fired since they have a high turnover rate, and you can make a small amount of cash fast since you get cash commission each day.

Cons

-false advertising of company: not pr or marketing, it's sales. And there are no guaranteed wages, it's commission only -false advertising of product: may need to intentionally mislead customer to make the sale -long hours and low pay: at least 10 hrs/day, 6 days/week. Often runs late. Make around $40-$50 on an average "good" day, but that's only $4-$5 per hour. -potential health risks and no benefits: walk from business to business all day every day in sun or snow. Often walk into unknown buildings or areas alone. Carry heavy product bag. Encouraged to take 15 minute lunch/break only.

Pros

The atmosphere at The Local group was superb. The management and staff were extremely approachable. Working there seemed like I stepped into a family. There great opportunities to advance and create your own success. Everyone was very caring, understanding, and focused on success.

Cons

The job was a little tedious when we were not in the office. The work can be hard if your attitude is not where it needs to be. If you have the right attitude, you will do the work and make the money.
