Cons
This industry, the logistics industry, is becoming more and more competitive. This forces larger companies to offer clients lower rates, meaning personnel will have to take lower salaries. This company offered me a position, that did give me great skills to advance into a better career option. The downfall to working remotely is that you will have to be on call 24/7, the quality of life is not healthy at all. The company was also aggressively landing accounts, but with the accounts being landed at lower prices to the client meant managers at near by branches would be absorbing more responsibilities of the new accounts, with no additional pay. My pay was cut over the 3 years there, bonuses were taken away, and was forced to adopt additional responsibilities. The clients demands, no matter how unfounded or ridiculous, have to be honored. The company places importance on maximizing profit for upper management, and client expectation no matter how unrealistic it may be.
