Too many to list unfortunately.. But seriously, if you are even considering this place, make sure to tour around first couple of days and look at the expressions of others before accepting. Look at every "manager" sitting inside their offices.
- Working from Home is the worst. They will judge your activity and availability on the computer based on the messenger. Your messenger idles automatically after 5mins of inactivity (no way to change/turn this off) believe me they will know; like a hawk on a prey. Saw one guy almost got fired for working from home in a snow storm and was inactive for 20mins.. he quit instead.
- Every cubicle is facing towards the wall, not one is facing towards the window. You won't realize it at first but after a yr or two, this begins to affect your mental health and eventually physical.
- You can't talk to anyone if its not work related, if you get caught, you will be written up, just like 3rd grade :) but you can use messenger at least so that's a plus. I remember going 4 months talking to one of the guys via messenger cracking jokes until I finally knew what he sounded like in one of the company dinners.
- Headquarters in Japan will have their own people in the building just to keep an eye on you. God forbid you get an emergency call about your child/family and you answer; you will get written up. (3rd time its bye bye)
- Bathroom breaks, they will time you.. Tip- I've used the excuse of upset tummy and having to do #2 to gain an extra min or two ;)
- Company is not organized; it seems to follow the mantra of "if its not broken, don't touch" so there is no effort for attempting to improve anything here.
I'll stop right here in hopes that you're able to connect the dots. There is a reason why this place has a low rating. The other so called "5 star reviews" don't seem legitimate. One thing is for sure though; if you're in desperate need of employment, this is the place to go.
