Pros

Casual dress Half days on Fridays Additional career training given Lots of opportunity for promotion Good office experience Office had plants and was kept tidy

Cons

A few years back, Trans International changed the way production data was captured and presented. While this was a very good idea and should have been done sooner, the teams actually completing the work were not consulted on their day-to-day challenges. Because of this, there were a cascade of negative repercussions. A lot of the production deadlines and expectations are unreasonable which resulted in revoked vacation and "black out" days where people were not allowed to request time off.The turn-over rate increased and the staff felt undervalued. There was a depressed morale among the staff. Because so many people left quickly (either voluntarily or not), and there was no formalized training program, a lot of knowledge got lost. Mistakes were made and customer relationships suffered. The HR team was always willing to listen, but it is clear that there was little change or impact that anyone with suggestions for improvements could make. New ideas were met with responses like "I won't try it unless you can prove another company did it successfully" or "we tried that 15 years ago and it didn't work." In the few short years I was with Trans International, I saw many managers come and go and even more at the staff level.

Thank you for your very useful feedback. I am glad to say that things have definitely changed for the BETTER here at Trans International. Open and respectful communication is encouraged across all levels of business. There is an open-door policy in place so that employee issues and concerns do not go unheard by management/executive leadership and can be proactively addressed before they become larger problem areas. The Executive Team listens when the employees make their concerns known and CHANGE happens. The results of our 2022 Employee Engagement Survey show that 88% of Trans International employees are happy at work and 90% would refer job candidates or potential clients. Lots has changed and TI continues to strive to be a GREAT place to work!

Casual attire (you can literally wear anything to work excecpt pajamas), half days on Fridays, Some holidays off

Cons

Casual attire (It feels almost kind of trashy), terrible benefits, terrible pay, very stressful work environment, treated like a child, no room for advancement, promised raises but never give any, your ideas are never heard, lots of black out dates for vacations.

Pros

I am no longer working here

Cons

Ever since Denise left things have been a hot mess. The fact that the co owner left should be a big sign, everyone does whatever they want, managers have no idea what is going on in their departments, the systems are out of date. There is no real structure. Managers do not support you because they don’t know what’s going on. It’s a big blame game, no wonder the reviews have continued to go down. I feel like this company will be going under soon and I am happy am gone. I was so stressed and depressed with this work from home position. Good riddance

Thank you for your feedback. We encourage open communication across all levels of business so we value your opinion. Employees are kept aware of what is going on in the company via weekly department meetings as well as the Annual and Quarterly VTO that is emailed to all employees. There is also an open-door policy in place so that employee issues and concerns do not go unheard by management/executive leadership. When employees utilize the open-door policy issues can be proactively addressed before they become larger problem areas. We are aware that not matter how hard we try, we will not be able to make everyone happy. Our 2022 Employee Satisfaction Survey has found that 88% of Trans International Employees are happy at work and 90% would refer job candidates or potential clients to our company. Of course, we will continue to strive to make 100% of TI employees happy at work with perks to make working here an enjoyable experience. So far our employees enjoy a flexible 1st shift work schedule, Work from Home capability, Half-day Fridays, and a casual dress code. Also, Profit Sharing Bonuses were given even during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Also worth mentioning, TI's 2021 turnover was the lowest it has been in 5+ years and as a result the greatest number of employees in history participated in profit sharing for 2021 (employees must be employed by TI for at least one year to receive a Profit Sharing Bonus). This company was founded in 1975. Since then, the company has grown and continues to grow. We are excited to see where the future takes us as we continue to move forward "Transforming Freight Audit."
