Pros

As a pre-health major wanting to transition into a business career after graduation, it seemed unlikely that I would find a position that would utilize much of my degree. However, I was fortunate enough to find a company where my research experience and STEM coursework are great assets. Because of my degree, I was able to better understand the intricacies of specific clinical trials as well as the clinical trial process as a whole.

Cons

As an early-stage company, there was not a formal training period or process. Although I always had other team members available to provide support and answer questions, I quickly began being tasked with real responsibilities. This was beneficial in that I learned very rapidly, but it also made me more concerned that I would make a mistake in the first few weeks after starting the role.

Pros

I love the fast-paced environment here at TruLab. We are growing quickly and our needs evolve constantly. We all wear many different hats and collaborate across teams every day, which has allowed me to see many aspects of the business and gain experience across several job functions. Within my Product Analyst responsibilities, I work with a diverse customer base and on multiple projects simultaneously.

Cons

Some of our projects are tied to international studies, which can mean some late night calls with clients and work outside of traditional hours. We have flexibility in our schedules to make this sustainable.
