Pros

The employees of True Fabrications are a wonderful, dedicated bunch of folks, unfortunately many of them sometimes appear to suffer from Stockholm Syndrome. There is great transparency in the work place, and it is possible to communicate directly across department lines and gather and build consensus. You will get to where a lot of hats, and build some solid experience.

Cons

First and foremost, if True Fabrications can find a way to stick their foot in their mouth, they will, further, they'll try to shove as much of their foot into their as possible. They have no real sense of 'what' they are doing, that they have any success in spite of management and management decisions, not because of them. If you need any evidence of this, just look at the first part of their response to the review which reads "Get the experience then take it to a place where grown ups work." where they have responded by saying "Mutual respect is not optional here at True". That is very true overall of how you will be treated. You will be loved for somewhere between the first day to first month that you start, and then how you are treated and whatever respect manage has for you will drop, sometimes on an hourly basis with little or not obvious reason. And any attempt to find out what or why will only be met with ridicule and name calling and juvenile behavior. You can often see the same position being advertised once every month or so; They burn through people at an alarming rate. If one person is a screw up in a position, it's likely that person. But if you go through say 20 designers in 4 years... its' not the designers. I've seen designers ridiculed for what they did, then four or five months later after they've left or been fired, they work they did is being praised to the new pion who was hire to take their place. And to further that, what the prior designers did which they were often told was substandard is then put into production and sells well. Overall, the company suffers from management which has a vision (that changes based on who the last person to talk to management was) on a near hourly basis. They have no faith in themselves or what they are doing. Add to this an inability to communicate anything other then whatever they do is to be visionary and earth shattering, but they can't show, explain, or demonstrate what ever that is. If i were to sum my experience up of working their, it would be 'dread'. If one wants the real story of what it is like to work there, notice how many reviews are negative. And how most state they were their last then a year and look at their ads for jobs and how often the same positions are being filled over and over and over and over again. Avoid this place if you have any self respect.

True Brands Response

Thank you for your honest feedback. We agree with you that our staff is incredibly dedicated and transparency is something we take pride in at True Brands. We also stand by our statement that “Mutual Respect is not optional here at True Brands” (which you have taken out of context). From day one, there's no time frame on mutual respect, it is always expected from employees and managers. As with many companies our size, we do experience turnover, especially in light of experiencing rapid growth in the past 3 years. However, our involuntary turnover rate is very low for our industry and size. Additionally, we take pride in the fact that most of our former Designers have come back to work for us as freelancers. This shows that we fully support our employees, even if they choose to move on and grow their careers elsewhere. The fact that they come back to work with us means the world to us! We always pride ourselves in being somewhere people can start their careers, grow, and develop. With that being said, we have been taking large strides to evolve the way we do business and develop our employees to create an amazing culture here at True Brands! We are always looking to improve, so we value your feedback. I’m sorry this wasn’t the right cultural fit for you. Best of luck in finding the right place for you. -HR

Truly Disappointed

Pros

"fun" place to work.

Cons

Overwhelmingly positive reviews are written by management. Everything else is from past employees. This is a place where immaturity is encouraged and leaders who have no idea what they are doing run the show. Its chaotic. The pay is bad. Young adults who act like children run around making company decisions. Beware what you think your signing up for is probably not what you will get here
