Pros
I’ve worked at USAID for 2 years as a personal services contractor (PSC). Everyone has been great to work with, inclusive and open to helping. I’ve also felt I have space to contribute my ideas and manage my work independently.
Cons
As a PSC there are few to no career advancement opportunities. The contracts are short and once it finishes, you’ll likely need to reapply to the same position. There is no career advancement track
