Pros

Loved interning here. Interns get a lot of responsibility which is both good and bad depending on you. You can get the chance to organize really cool events. Boss is awesome and always willing to help you in any aspect.

Cons

It's a small non-profit so the benefits are not very good compared to other opportunities.

Pros

Build networks, do meaningful work, and have flexibility while doing so.

Cons

There are no cons to mention. If anything, team is small, so more work to go around. It's all about perspective.

Pros

Simply put, the US-Asia Institute is one of the best organizations to be a part of. The team is small, yet manages to complete a wide array of programs and tasks that bring meaningful change to the DC area. Management is superb and understanding. Everyone looks out for one another and the environment is flexible, yet structured well enough for things to get done.

Cons

If you prefer larger organizations where you can blend in, you may be disappointed. For those who thrive in close team environments, this will be the place for you.
