Pros

- There are some great people to work - Snacks in the kitchen are ok - Hybrid work

Cons

- during the interview, I was told to create a powerpoint and present it to management when I wasn’t told this in the original interview. It was frustrating to prepare in the few days during the holiday season - management is unbearable. So many meetings to just sit in silence and never have a decision done. When a decision was made, it would never stick and it was a vicious cycle of going back and forth of what to do - no communication within the organization of what was happening so many teams were left in the dark when they should’ve given their input, which would’ve prevented rework or last minute docs to complete - old tech and software that took time to getting used to was taken away if it was not necessary to use (ex. Use Google apps instead of a separate software) - it was your team vs everyone. Teams were always frustrated at each other but could never come together to collab and work things through - it was an ok step into the fintech world but there are better ways to learn and grow - the customer is never first; it’s shocking little the care was to clients when reporting issues and bugs because of the excessive amount of work that was ongoing. Unfortunately it was up to management to determine when it would be fix within the TWO releases we did a year, which was frustrating for everyone - poor planning of work and and the answer is always that we need to get it done even though everyone knows we couldn’t. The bare skeleton of work was implemented because so much of what was originally planned has it be scrapped due to timing and competing work - majority of people were new or had little to no experience of financial services so a lot of work took time to understanding when we did not have this luxury. Not blaming the new workers, but having seniors or people who had knowledge would’ve sped up a lot of work within the short timeframe we had to develop - voicing concerns did not change anything and everyone sat in uncertainty knowing that things we wanted to do wouldn’t get done
