      Good pay but a toxic, micromanaged environment

      Pros

      There are not much pros for Upwork but the job pays well. and they have a mature remote environment is about it

      Cons

      Toxic environment in many ways with management that are distant and micro-management. no place for innovation inside the teams with strict bi-weekly meetings that include all team to state what you worked on in front of everyone so they make sure all work is for object and no place for team driven improvements unless approved. constant layoffs with 2 happen across 2 years. People that were with the company for years were severed just like that.
