Pros

All I can say here was it was great pay.

Cons

Where do I begin with this one. You are home very little, they will refuse to train you for better jobs, management was too worried about setting the stage for their reign of terror. You have an overall team manager who care very little about the day to day operation's opting to instead lean on two guys who carry their feeling on the shoulders and just find ways to terminate people they don't like. When I was moving to a new area I called and asked if they were ok with it prior to ever putting my house on market. I had my manger tell me he was ok with it as long as I made my jobs and did what I was expected to do. He pushed it up to HR and they had no documents governing moves and distance to airport. So I put my house on the market and sold it pretty quick. I then got a call from the overall team manager and was told he needed to “think” about it all. Exactly a month and a half later, and once I completed the move I was fired for “moving to far from an airport”. My suggestion to anyone considering this company… don't they are more worried about tearing themselves apart then making money.

Pros

Good work-life balance and interesting industry with plenty of room to explore, specially within the R&D department. Possibility to be creative and "play around" with ideas.

Cons

The R&D deparment is very "Finnish-routed". This means that there is barely any diversification in the teams, and even if working language is claimed to be English, truth is a lot of the documentation is in Finnish, and a lot of the colleagues with technical roles are quite reluctant to change the language to English. This essentially also means, that as a non-finnish speaker, I was denied the opportunity of taking certain courses and workshops, because they would prioritize these in Finnish, as not all of the employees spoke proper English (even when, in theory, this is a requisite to work at the deparment) and they did not have the agility to offer such courses in both languages, hence, the old-fashioned culture. To summarize, if you are a young and non-Finnish engineer, your development opportunities here have an expiry date.

Pros

Good people, great technology, good support fo r work life balance.

Cons

Annual reorganization to missing revenue targets. Annual employee purge in response to not meeting full revenue targets. Completly focused on top line numbers. Sales dominates the company so any orderly attempt to invoke process goes out the window at the end of each quarter. More oritented to indidivual sensor technology than integrated systems for customers - to the expense of systems brouhgt into the company via acquisition.
