I worked for 1.5 years at Valuewing Consultancy Services as an IT Technical Recruiter. One of the biggest drawbacks was that I did not gain end-to-end recruitment experience, as the process was split across different teams. My role was restricted to certain stages of recruitment, which limited my overall learning and growth as a recruiter. Additionally, there were no incentives for closures or successful joinings, which affected motivation. The work environment involved very high pressure, long working hours, and lack of appreciation for efforts. There was also no work-life balance, and the micromanagement style of the team lead further reduced flexibility and independence.

My experience with this company was disappointing. After completing my responsibilities and clearing all dues, I had to wait a long time and face unnecessary pressure before my pending salary was finally released — only after mentioning legal action. The company lacks structured HR practices like proper KRA/KPI setups, clear recruitment standards, or accountability in hiring decisions. Even after long interviews, poor hiring outcomes are blamed on the employee rather than the process. I hope the management reflects on these practices for future improvement.
