A family

Pros

The people are the most intelligent of any company I have seen. These are family people, who want to work in a stable, progressive environment. It shows. As far as the technology and products go, they have a clear "cause" behind them, which helps with motivation amongst the many groups. It is easier to work toward a goal if you can share the vision. At Verance, the vision is futuristic and exciting.

Cons

In any company, you may have to ask around to get answers that seem simple. This is no different at Verance. Also, some processes may be frustratingly slow. But I have found in my experience that this is a blessing in disguise... Verance strikes a beautiful balance of pace that allows for more thoughtful solutions rather than the "all hands on deck" speedy mentality of many digital companies.

Friendly, upbeat, casual

Pros

A friendly, upbeat, casual working atmosphere. All groups/teams interact well with each other and are able to communicate freely. All at Verance are extremely sharp, dedicated, and at the top of their game. If you are looking for an environment that feels not like a heavy, burgeoning work atmosphere and more of an interactive community than this is the place. Management is behind their employees and treats them well.

Cons

No company is perfect, no company can meet your ideal image of what a company should or should not be. Overall I have no real negatives about the company as a whole. This is a small company on the grow and as can be expected in a small company the areas for advancement are limited. Again this is not a con against the company but a point of fact for any small entity on the rise.

Great company that feels like family

Pros

Verance's culture is very supportive. Management really cares about their employees. In fact, the company feels like a family. But Verance is, of course, a business, and it has a very professional work environment.

Cons

Verance relies on just a few large customers for most of its income. This caused an unexpected layoff. Verance also could use more agile processes.
