Pros

Colleagues were great to work with. Challenging and interesting work was plentiful.

Cons

Company is currently being led by a greedy and selfish management. They have been systematically trying to cut their way to profitability thru shortsighted and damaging moves to bolster stock value and line their own pockets. All the while, dedicated and hardworking staff are shown the door. In some cases, they go out of their way to make positions misersble, hoping that people will just quit. The remaining work is simply handed over to the unfortunate remaining staff who are expected to just get more done with less. This of course is favored to avoid severance payouts and labor expense. The days of optimism and hope for this company have sadly passed. Avoid this company if you care about your career and future.

Pros

-Select few front office/management personnel are very nice to work with. -Good benefits -Occasional Facility Luncheon -Adiquate (mostly) pay -Interesting and immersive work. -Work rarely becomes routine. Always something new to work with.

Cons

-A very noticeable segregation between technicians and engineering/management staff. -Management is ingrained and unchanging. No new management hires in recent years. -Very little opportunity for advancement/promotion. -Technicians often accumulate substantial responsibilities without being promoted or receiving increased compensation. -Technician advancement to engineer is exceedingly rare and has notably happened only twice. (To my knowledge.) Technicians have been told during reviews they won’t be made engineers. -HR, and management does little to nothing regarding Technician complaints or concerns. -Technicians are often excluded from meetings or plans for facility improvements, leading to misconceptions about how equipment and facilities work which often leads to non functioning or improper “improvements.” -Primarily Technician facilities are often neglected or low priority for improvement or repair. -A culture of “anonymous shaming” exists instead of dialog between employees when an issue is noticed. -Company policies are arbitrarily enforced at the discretion of management. -Blanket Corporate objectives are often unreasonable and unecessary at some facilities.
