Vets Securing America Response

Reading these comments, I know who this person is and don't want to spend too much time with my response other then to clear some false statements given. VSA does not have any independent contractors. All security officers and supervisors are paid hourly or in the case of a supervisor, they receive a salary. VSA currently has and has always had workers comp insurance as required under the law. I am just happy that this person is no longer with VSA.

Pros

Many sites available, experienced supervisors, good area manager that will help good guards out of bad situations even if he has to take money from his own pocket, will usually fix any problems with your check such as not getting paid for all of your hours, competitive pay.

Cons

Supervisors get paid straight time for their overtime work, area manager overworked, owner brags about how rich he is and all of his toys that he has to his employees, has had problems with checks coming in on time.

Pros

I have been working in the security arena for over 15 years been at VSA for 2.5 years, I have seen first hand VSA management take quick action when dealing with security officers who don't want to work just want to come to work for a pay check, and don't care about anyone but themselves. the good news is that VSA management quickly weeds out these knuckle heads, I have also reported some security officers to help management in this process, there and so many good security officers who take pride at VSA, we don't want poor security officers work here it makes us all look bad, however when management makes these good decisions these employees then will try to bad mouth VSA, when I read some of the negative postings on this site it makes me sick, VSA has hundreds of security officers that perform everyday, me personally have had at times some payroll issues such as shorten hours or missing shifts however when ever I have called the company quickly Investigate my concerns and in all cases fixed the error in one case it was actually my fault I forgot to sign in on one of my days, I have never had a check that bounced or have ever had a problem cashing my check, my check is delivered to my work site every week, thats another thing I like about VSA they pay every week VS most other security companies pay every 2 weeks

Cons

I like to see more promotions within the company structure.
